|Left: Day 1, Right: Day 16|
I'm more than half way through my second attempt at my 30-Day Bikram Yoga challenge and I'm feeling awesome. I've finally kicked that nasty cold I had for two weeks. I can tell that I'm getting better because I don't cough or have to blow my nose as much during class. In fact, today was the first day that I didn't have to blow my nose during class at all! I also don't need to go everywhere with a box of Kleenex in tow.
This week I ended up missing two days due to scheduling issues beyond my control. I did make up for it by doing two double classes during the week: a double on Friday and a double on Sunday. I love taking two classes in one day. By the time I get to the second class, my body is so much more flexible. The more Bikram I do, the more laundry I have to do - lots of body towels, hand towels, sports bras, shorts and headbands.
In the last 16 days, I have spent 28 and a half hours of my life sweating it out in a Bikram Yoga class. That includes four days of taking two classes in one day. I definitely feel like Bikram has become part of my lifestyle now. This challenge doesn't feel like it's a chore to get to class. My body really craves it each and every day.
I love watching my progress everyday in my energy levels, how my clothes fit and by looking at my before and after pictures. I may not be losing a lot of weight, but my whole body is tightening and toning up. I love it!
