Makeup: When to Splurge and When to Save

I came across a great article today, written by Jennifer Calonia, U.S. News that I found extremely useful.

Drugstore vs Designer Makeup: When to Save and When to Splurge

Just because you invest $30 into a tube of mascara doesn't mean that the product is going to last any longer than the one you can purchase in a drugstore for less than half the price. Before going on your next makeup shopping spree, refer to this article as a helpful guideline when trying to decide which products are worth the splurge and which products you should save your money on.

Products worth investing the higher price tag? Full-face application products like foundation and concealer are a worthy investment. When should you save your money at shop at your local drugstore? Products that tend to have a shorter shelf-life and are more prone to bacteria.such as mascara and eyeliner.

Great read!

  1. As with any other product, the key is to get the most value for your money. That way you get exactly what you need, without wasting anything.
